Detailed Itinerary

Arrive Paro

Arrive at Paro, our representative would greet you at the Airport. Transfer to Hotel. In the evening stroll through Paro town and visit local shops.

Overnight : At a hotel in Paro.


Visit Kichu temple, one of the 108 temples built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King SongstenGampo. Drive to Thimphu for shopping (Traditional Bhutanese costumes for the wedding) or other Gifts. Check the arrangements for the Wedding for the next day. Evening Rest and Hot stone bath at a Farm house.

Wedding Day

Today the wedding ceremony will commence in typical Bhutanese Buddhist traditional in elaborate decorations. The marriage will commence in the Alter presided by the Lama & all guests will also be present in the alter. Traditional Bhutanese mask dancers will organize a cultural function and others events will be organized throughout the day & evening.

Drive to Thimphu

After breakfast travel to Thimphu and check into your hotel. Visit the National Library, the Institute for ZorigChusum, the Textile Museum to get an understanding of the beautiful hand woven Bhutanese textiles.

Thimphu- Punakha

After breakfast, travel through upper Punakha valley through the village of Kabjisa and walk through farmhouses to khamsumYuelleyNamgyeltemple which was built by the queen of Bhutan for peace and stability in this ever-changing world. Visit the PunakhaDzong, located on the island of the Pho-Chu (male) river and the Mochu (female) river. Visit the DhoJhaGha Lam Temple.

Overnight : At hotel in Wangdue/Punakha.


After breakfast enjoy a short hike through ricefields up to KhamsumYuelley Namgyal Chorten, built by her majesty the queen AshiTsheringYangdonWangchuk. Also visit 15th century ChimiLhakhang, temple of DrukpaKuenly who is also known as the Divine MadmanHe is considered a symbol of fertility and many childless couples go to his temple for blessing.

Overnight : At your hotel in Punakha/ Wangduephodrang.

Drive to Thimphu

After breakfast drive to Thimphu. Visit sites in and around Thimphu. Shopping in the local market & dinner at a Local restaurant. Evening in Thimphu.

Drive to Paro and departure

In the morning tour guide from Walk to Himalayas will escort you to the Paro airport for your flight to your onward destinations.
